Dow Gives Back
The Dow Hotel Company strives to be an excellent operator and partner – but even more importantly to be a responsible global citizen in our local community. As an organization that focuses heavily on being great partners and providing a unique and fun culture, we want to empower our employees to be hands on in giving back to the communities where we live and operate.
Our Most Recent Projects
The Embassy Suites by Hilton O'Hare Rosemont hosted accommodations for all of the families invited to Operation North Pole. This organization creates the fantasy for kids and their loved ones. About 500 volunteers orchestrate the holiday adventure for 75 families, transforming the mundane into the magical. With their imagination, a Metra train ride becomes a "Polar Express.", a convention center becomes a "winter wonderland.", and kids who have spent their childhood in hospitals become kids again. Our staff shared in the joy of their arrival and celebration of this magical day. (12/14/18)
Members of DoubleTree by Hilton Valley Forge - King of Prussia helped sort and pack 7,300 pounds of food and necessities for the local community. With the help of their clients and employees, they were proud to make a 600+ pound donation to Philabundance (12/6/18)
As part of IHG's True Hospitality for Good, the Holiday Inn San Jose – Silicon Valley volunteered at Second Harvest Food bank last month. In addition to helping a worthy cause in our local community, for every hour we volunteered, IHG made a contribution to the True Hospitality for Good fund.
The DHC corporate staff volunteered at the Des Moines Food Bank, located outside of Seattle. The team helped on the food line, worked on projects with the backpack program & prepared the facility for the Christmas food distribution.
The Embassy Suites and DoubleTree by Hilton O’Hare Rosemont participated in a Book Buddy Program at the Bridgeway Nursing Home. Children from the local grade school paired up with a resident and read to them for several months. On the final day of the program the children read each of their "Buddies" a Thank You letter. Our team provided and served lunch to all in attendance.
