Why did you go into the hospitality industry? As a military child, I moved every 3 years with my family. Driving across country from one military base to another, we stayed at hotels along the way. I loved visiting new towns and enjoying the amenities of the hotels that we stayed at...mostly the pool! I wanted to be that friendly face at check-in welcoming families to a property and making their vacation the best it could be.
Amanda Lynch joined The Dow Hotel Company in 2005 working in various sales roles on property before transitioning to Revenue Management in 2007. As DHC acquired more hotels, Amanda became the Revenue Manager for those properties. She joined the corporate staff as the Corporate Director of Revenue Management in 2015.
She is responsible for providing direction to the on-property revenue management team in order to maximize revenue and increase market share through the areas of pricing, distribution, revenue optimization, e-marketing and analysis. Although her main responsibility is Revenue Management, Amanda has assisted in various sales and marketing initiatives as well as improved hotel rankings on third party review sites, such as TripAdvisor.
Amanda Lynch holds a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Charleston in West Virginia, and a M.A. in Organizational Leadership from Lewis University in Illinois. She has completed numerous revenue management trainings, is a member of HSMAI, and is a Certified Revenue Management Executive (CRME). She recently earned a certificate in Hospitality Digital Marketing from Cornell University.
