2015

  • Dow Hotel Company completes $12 million renovation at Hilton Bellevue

2014

  • DHC assumes management of of The DoubleTree Valley Forge

2013

  • Dow Hotel Company acquired in a joint venture with The Carlyle Group's (NASDAQ: CG) Carlyle Realty Partners VI, the 269-room, AAA Four Diamond-rated Hilton Orrington Hotel in Evanston, Ill.
  • DHC assumes management of the Hyatt North Houston

2011

  • DHC and Prudential Real Estate Investors purchase the Hilton Long Island/Huntington with plans for a $15 million renovation
  • DHC assumes management of the Embassy Suites Anaheim - South and completes a $5 million renovation
  • Tracey Vargas promoted to Assistant Director of Corporate Human Resources

2010

  • DHC launches its third-party Food & Beverage Operations Division and implements the Basil’s Kitchen concept at the Embassy Suites Seattle-Tacoma International Airport
  • DHC forms a strategic alliance with Barcelona REIT to acquire $450 million dollars in hotel assets
  • DoubleTree Chicago O'Hare Rosemont is awarded AAA Four Diamond status

2009

  • Renovations are completed at the Hilton San Antonio Hill Country Hotel & Spa, where DHC’s SunSpot restaurant concept debuts
  • DHC is named to the 2009 Inc. 5000

2008

  • Renovations are completed at the Crown Plaza Portland - Lake Oswego, the Marriott Suites Anaheim and the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Chicago O’Hare Airport
  • DHC completes renovations and re-opens the Sheraton North Houston at George Bush International Airport after the property suffers damage from Hurricane Ike
  • BC Bistro debuts at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Chicago O'Hare Airport, and BC Lounge debuts at the Crowne Plaza Lake Oswego
  • A full-service Tully’s Coffee opens at both the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Chicago O'Hare Airport and the Embassy Suites Chicago - O'Hare/Rosemont
  • DHC is named to the 2008 Inc. 5000 as the highest-ranked hotel management company

2007

  • DHC purchases the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Chicago O'Hare Airport and the Radisson Hill Country Resort & Spa - San Antonio
  • Renovations are completed at the Hilton Atlanta Northeast and the Marriott Suites Deerfield, where DHC’s Basil’s Bistro concept premiers
  • Randall King is promoted to corporate director of marketing and revenue

2006

  • DHC and AEW Capital Management purchase the Marriott Suites Deerfield
  • A multi-million dollar renovation is completed for the landmark Hilton San Francisco Financial District
  • The Hilton Bellevue opens following a major renovation, which includes the addition of DHC’s sixth Basil’s Kitchen
  • AJ Kamra joins DHC as corporate director of human resources
  • Carol Silverstein is promoted to corporate director of training and management development, and Stephen Griffin is promoted to senior vice president of finance
  • DHC sells the Clarion James Madison to a real estate developer

2005

  • DHC and Prudential Real Estate Investors purchase the DoubleTree Hotel Bellevue with plans to convert it to a Hilton
  • DHC and AEW Partners purchase the DHC-managed Hilton Atlanta Northeast
  • DHC secures management of the Hilton San Francisco Financial District
  • The company's fifth Basil's Kitchen opens at the Crowne Plaza Lake Oswego
  • Michael Pitstick is promoted to vice president of sales and marketing

2004

  • DHC secures management of the Anaheim Marriott Suites, where Steve Falciani is named general manager

2003

  • DHC assumes management of its seventh hotel, the Sheraton North Houston; Robert Kisker is named general manager
  • DHC and Prudential Real Estate Investors purchase the Crowne Plaza Hotel Portland - Lake Oswego; Lori Brooks is named general manager
  • Michael Pitstick joins DHC as corporate director of sales and marketing
  • The Puget Sound Business Journal names DHC the 25th Fastest Growing Private Company in Washington

2002

  • DHC secures management of the Hilton Atlanta Northeast on behalf of its owners, Cigna Corporation; Ernie Catanzaro is named general manager
  • Randall King is named regional director of operations, based at the Radisson Hotel Sacramento
  • David Fincannon joins DHC as general manager of the Embassy Suites Chicago - O’Hare/Rosemont

2001

  • DHC secures management of the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Virginia Beach, where Harvey Moore is named regional director of operations
  • The Rosemont Suites at O’Hare is converted to the Embassy Suites Chicago - O’Hare/Rosemont; DHC opens its first Basil’s Kitchen and Basil’s Bar at the property
  • DHC assumes management of the Radisson Inn Cleveland Airport and converts it to the Radisson Hotel Cleveland Airport.
  • Robert Levy is named vice president of rooms operations

2000

  • DHC and Prudential Real Estate Investors purchase The Rosemont Suites at O’Hare. Randall King is named general manager
  • The James Madison Hotel in Virginia is converted to the Clarion Hotel James Madison
  • Tracey Vargas joins the Dow Hotel Company

1999

  • DHC and Prudential Real Estate Investors acquire the Radisson Hotel Sacramento.
  • Renovations are completed at the James Madison Hotel.

1998

  • Murray Dow, Mark Rosinsky and Harvey Moore form 345 Granby Associates, LLC, and
    purchase the historic James Madison Hotel in Virginia; Moore is named general manager
  • DHC opens its Seattle office

1997

  • Murray Dow founds The Dow Hotel Company, LLC, and opens the company’s first office in Connecticut
